Invested in our Community / MOCO Theatre

MOCO, formed in 2016, is a company of all-male, local performers showcasing immersive theatre using a brave, relevant text at site-specific venues around the city. Their Artistic Director and Founder is Miche Montague, and their patron is local actor Sam Clemmett, best known for his role as Albus Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Part installation, part performance, their projects promote dialogue, engagement and understanding of male mental health issues affecting young men; shown to great impact in their premiere production of ‘A Clockwork Orange’ at The Shoe Factory, Norwich.

There is a personal link for us, with their patron Sam being the son of our Family Secretary Bridgette. We have very much enjoyed following Sam’s journey from starting out in acting to his success on Broadway and beyond. We are sure that MOCO Theatre will be a breeding ground for several home-grown future stars – including another staff member, our administrator Joe Darbyshire who is a current MOCO member.
