Local Solicitor Caroline Billings has been appointed as the new Chair of Trustees for Norfolk youth charity MAP: The Mancroft Advice Project, from 2 December 2019.
Caroline, a Partner and Private Client expert at Theatre Street-based law firm Hatch Brenner Solicitors, has been a MAP Trustee for the last year. She commented: “I am very pleased to be building on my work with MAP by stepping up to Chair the Board of Trustees for the charity. Having first got to know their important work through an ongoing partnership with Hatch Brenner, this is a very natural progression for myself and the charity.”
MAP CEO Dan Mobbs added: “Our trustees, together with myself, form MAP’s Board of Trustees and bring with them a range of invaluable skills and experience. They ensure we meet our charitable objectives and obligations, set out our strategic direction and oversee its implementation. Caroline brings a very steady approach, enthusiasm and clear insight which will be invaluable as she takes up this position. On behalf of everyone at MAP, I would like to welcome Caroline to the role, as well as to thank our outgoing Chair of Trustees Sue Gale for her important contributions.”
MAP offers independent information, advice and advocacy; youth work, informal education and counselling for young people aged 11-25 years. They support over 4,000 young people every year, particularly those who are disengaged from their local community, disadvantaged by their background or deemed to be at risk in their current circumstances. Funds raised for MAP go directly to help support young people through their drop-in centres in Norwich and Great Yarmouth as well as in schools, community venues and through outreach activities across Norfolk.
