Hatch Brenner has launched their Christmas Appeal for 2017. This festive season, the Theatre Street-based law firm will be supporting Norfolk youth charity MAP: The Mancroft Advice Project.
MAP offer independent information, advice and advocacy; youth work, informal education and counselling for young people aged 11-25 years. They support over 4,000 young people every year, particularly those who are disengaged from their local community, disadvantaged by their background or deemed to be at risk in their current circumstances.
Hatch Brenner has produced their 2017 Christmas card in conjunction with MAP, and will be including a postcard with each card sent giving more information about the services offered by MAP. The Norwich Solicitors firm are also asking all their staff to donate their ‘Secret Santa’ money to the charity.
Caroline Billings, Hatch Brenner Partner, MAP Trustee and Private Client expert commented: “Our staff were really keen to support MAP this Christmas, and suggested Secret Santa gift giving; instead of buying each other a small gift, we are going to pledge to give £5 to MAP instead. It’s a simple, alternative way to raise money that is really going to make a difference. The firm has also pledged to match fund the total raised. As a Trustee of MAP, I see first hand the work they do directly benefitting so many young people in our region.”
Katy Jones, MAP Fundraising Officer added: “We are delighted that Hatch Brenner has chosen to support us this Christmas. The festive period can be a particularly tough time for young people who may feel at odds with the images of idyllic family life portrayed by the media if they themselves are struggling. We would love other organisations to follow the lead of Hatch Brenner and pledge to donate their ‘Secret Santa’ money to MAP. The funds raised will help support young people through our drop-in centres in Norwich and Great Yarmouth as well as in schools, community venues and through outreach activities across Norfolk.”
There will be collection pots in the Hatch Brenner reception areas for clients, friends and contacts who would also like to show their support for MAP this festive season. Find out more about the charity or donate electronically at map.uk.net
