Following sell-out runs at the National Theatre and in the West End, political drama This House is arriving at Norwich Theatre Royal from Tuesday 8 to Saturday 12 May. The energetic, timely, amusing and moving play is the latest production in Hatch Brenner’s long running drama venue sponsorship programme.
Set in 1974, it explores the hung parliament and the infighting and backbiting of Britain’s political parties. Playwright James Graham offers an atmospheric insight into the workings of British politics. Directed by Jeremy Herrin (Wolf Hall), it deals with themes that have relevance in the current political climate. Are we in the midst of a political revolution? Can the country stay united?
Dawn Parkes, Hatch Brenner Managing Partner commented: “I am looking forward to seeing This House with our guests in early May. In particular, the production includes a live band on stage playing music from the era which should bring an extra dimension to an already fascinating subject matter. We very much enjoy our close working relationship with our neighbours at Norwich Theatre Royal.”
