Hatch Brenner Solicitors, located in the heart of Norwich on Theatre Street, has further expanded its property team, welcoming new appointments and a promotion - boosting the busy and dynamic residential property department at the law firm.
The long-established practice’s residential property team has experienced an exceptional 2021 with the Stamp Duty holiday, new senior appointments and a promotion, all further enhancing the enterprising team and the property services they provide to clients in Norwich and the surrounding areas.
Hatch Brenner has welcomed new Head of Property, Sarah Finn. Sarah joined with 30 years’ experience within all aspects of the property field including leasehold sales and purchases, transfers of equity, mortgages, new build purchases and overage agreements. Having held senior positions at law firms in East Anglia and Devon, Sarah joined Hatch Brenner from a firm in the Southwest where she was a Partner and Head of Residential Property.
Happy Khumbeni joined the team as Conveyancing Executive this Summer. Previously at a specialist property law firm in Norwich, he has recently completed and passed his CILEX exams which following a period of qualifying employment will lead to his qualification as a Chartered Legal Executive. Happy’s arrival was well-timed as the Stamp Duty Holiday introduced by the Government generated the busiest period the department has seen with dozens of completions and millions in sales and purchases. Happy’s core responsibilities of sales and purchases supported the team with the unprecedented influx of new instructions.
The independent law firm has also promoted within the property team with Conveyancing Assistant, Lizzy Omer, developing her role to Conveyancing Executive and working towards her CILEX qualification. Lizzy joined Hatch Brenner in 2017 and has been gaining experience across a range of residential property services including property purchase transactions, freehold and leasehold and transfers of equity. Lizzy’s promotion comes at a pivotal time of growth for the team.
“Lizzy’s new role and responsibilities are testimony to her contribution to the property team. We’ve experienced one of the busiest periods I’ve seen due to the Stamp Duty holiday and Lizzy’s experience and commitment to the team, firm and our clients, proves this promotion is very well-deserved”, said Sarah Finn, Head of Property.
“I am incredibly excited about the future for the team. We have an ideal combination of experienced lawyers with ambitious junior lawyers. We are a strong, cohesive team with a focus to provide excellent client service alongside expert legal knowledge”.
