Hatch brenner solicitors supports moco theatre in their move to creative space norwich

Hatch Brenner Solicitors is continuing to support local acting group MOCO Theatre, as they take up residence at Creative Space, Norwich from January 2019.

Creative Space, a social enterprise based off Grapes Hill in the city, exists to educate, empower and encourage young people and adults to think and act differently. They have invited MOCO to join them in the development of programmes and projects that harness the power of creativity, wellbeing and communication.

Miche Montague, MOCO Artistic Director commented: “It is so exciting to see how all our hard work is moving the MOCO journey forward. Being supported by Creative Space will allow us to reach out to more people through our new programme, MOCO Immersion. Each Immersion project will support people to develop their own creative path of artistic expression.”

The Immersion programme leads with 3 short projects:

Audition Technique for 17+

As well as offering an invaluable grounding in the vital skills needed to navigate the audition process and learn ways to improve your techniques, Creative Space’s in-house wellbeing expertise will also ensure you are fully prepared to conquer the stress and anxiety that can often be associated with auditions. Our aim is to give your unique-self the best possible chance of success.

An Introduction to Physical Ensemble for 18+ The drive of this 5-week course is simple – to inspire you to begin a journey into discovering the expressive possibilities of the body and develop confidence and self-awareness.

MOCO Yo – an introduction to MOCO

This eight-week project is for young male actors, 16-18 years, who want to develop the confidence and communication skills necessary to push the boundaries of performance and promote dialogue and engagement. Through ensemble work and social inclusion, you will be inspired by the MOCO team to find your voice as an artist and believe in yourself and your future. The project offers a positive and inspiring environment with like-minded people in a supportive atmosphere, allowing you to develop your own unique path of artistic expression.

Paula and Nick Meir, Founders of Creative Space said: “We are proud to provide a home for this unique and important theatre company.”

Miche Montague added: “On behalf of the MOCO company, I would like to thank Hatch Brenner for their support which is enabling us to continue our exploration of teamwork and collaboration, and mentorship of the next generation of theatre artists.”

Amy Beck, Marketing and Business Development Manager at Hatch Brenner Solicitors commented: “We are delighted for MOCO Theatre as they take the next step forward by working with Creative Space. The new MOCO Immersion programme will enable more young actors to grow which can only be a positive thing for the city’s arts scene. We look forward to continuing to support MOCO in their inspiring work.”
