Theatre Street law firm Hatch Brenner Solicitors has welcomed Bengi Karakus to the firm as their new Trainee Solicitor. Bengi started her two year training contract on 1 September 2020.
Hatch Brenner has historically taken on a new Trainee Solicitor every two years. Their training contract comprises of four ‘seats’ for six months each within the firm’s specialist legal departments where the trainees are able to gain experience. Following their previous trainee Alexandria Martin’s admission as a Solicitor, also on 1 September, Bengi has started her first seat within the Dispute Resolution department.
Working with Hatch Brenner Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution team Colin Cook, Bengi will assist across specialisms including Litigation, Personal Injury and Employment. Her role will involve working with the experienced lawyers in the team to help resolve disputes, investigate accidents and injuries and provide advice to employers and employees.
Bengi, who grew up in Norwich, completed her Law Degree at The University of Lincoln graduating in September 2019 with a First Class Honours. She completed her LPC at The University of Law. Bengi is well known to Hatch Brenner Solicitors, having previously completed two placements of work experience, and undertaking a temporary Legal Secretary position with the firm alongside her LPC studies. She has also gained experience through Lincoln County & Family Court, Lincoln and District Citizens Advice Bureau Limited and additional temporary legal positions.

Outside of work, Bengi supports her family’s restaurant and catering business. Her personal interests include going to the gym, running, going for dinner out, cooking and discovering new Turkish recipes.
