Hatch Brenner Solicitors on Theatre Street is once again supporting Norfolk WILL Help, the initiative encouraging individuals to have their wills written in return for a suggested charity donation of £75 for a single will or £120 for mirror wills. Hatch Brenner is donating appointments throughout February to the project which is raising money for five of Norfolk’s leading charities, Nelson’s Journey, Age UK Norwich, Leeway, Keeping Abreast and Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind.
The initiative has now raised a total of £13,620 with Hatch Brenner Solicitors contributing £3,100 to the overall amount.
Caroline Billings, Partner and Private Client specialist at Hatch Brenner commented: “We are delighted to be involved in Norfolk WILL Help again for 2019. With five such important local charities benefiting, the project offers a great opportunity for people to think about putting their will together. Having a valid will allows you to make provision for your family, appoint executors to carry out your wishes, and provide for specific wishes including gifts to friends, relatives and charities. If you choose not to make a will, your estate will ultimately be divided as the law provides, which may not be in the way you would have chosen.”
Simon Wright, Chief Executive of Nelson’s Journey, the charity behind Norfolk WILL Help, said: “At Nelson’s Journey, we are reminded daily that many people reach the end of their life much earlier than expected. It is therefore essential to have your future wishes in place whatever stage of life you’re at. The charities supported by the project are so grateful to the local Solicitors who allow this initiative to take place. Across Norfolk, the funds raised have supported the visually impaired, the elderly, bereaved children and young people, vulnerable young people and those diagnosed with cancer.”
The Norfolk WILL Help charities are: Nelson’s Journey, Age UK Norwich, Leeway, Keeping Abreast and the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind (NNAB).
