Bishop’s House Garden have selected to support Norwich & Central Norfolk Cruse Bereavement Care for their first open day on Sunday 12 May, between 1-5pm.
Becky Bushell, Norwich & Central Norfolk Cruse Bereavement Care fundraiser commented: “We are delighted to have been selected by the Bishop’s House to be their chosen charity for the first open day of the 2019 season. We will have lots of our supporters at the garden on the day, running family friendly activities, a second hand book stall, plant sale, raffle and importantly serving lots of refreshments and delicious home-made cakes. There will also be live music from the BroadBeat Choir. This is a special opportunity for members of the public to view a beautiful, formal garden in the centre of Norwich that has belonged to Bishops of Norwich for the past 900 years. We hope lots of people will come along to see the gardens in all their splendour!
“Support from the local community is vital in allowing us to operate and provide specialist bereavement support via our highly trained volunteers. The input from our local business contacts including our long-term partners Hatch Brenner Solicitors, helps us to maximise the fundraising and awareness driving opportunities available.”
Dawn Parkes, Hatch Brenner Managing Partner added: “The whole Hatch Brenner team is pleased to be working with Cruse Bereavement Care once again for the Open Garden at Bishop’s House. It is a rare and lovely place in the centre of the city, and it will be a real treat to explore the gardens, as well as to see all our friends from Norwich Cruse, and spread the word about the important work they do supporting local bereaved individuals.”
