Norwich Solicitors Hatch Brenner is delighted to announce that Richard Dilks has been promoted to Head of Department for the Family team as at 1 April 2018.

Divorce specialist solicitor Richard joined the Theatre Street-based law firm in 2007. He is a member of Resolution, and a trained Resolution collaborative lawyer.

His extensive experience in dealing with divorces includes those involving family businesses (whether a limited company or a partnership), significant pension funds and multiple properties. He also has experience of dealing with pre-nuptial agreements, deeds of separation, property disputes between co-habitees and cases involving domestic abuse. He can advise parents dealing with child related issues such as financial provision for a child and disputes about who a child should live with.

The Legal 500 has described Richard as a “divorce and finance specialist” who exhibits “an excellent balance of compassion, empathy and legal interpretation”.

Dawn Parkes Hatch Brenner Managing Partner commented: “I am pleased to congratulate Richard on his recent promotion to Head of Department for the Family team. In light of our Family Partner Jonathan Brock reducing his hours to three days a week, Richard is in an excellent position to take on management responsibilities in addition to his busy caseload. As a very well respected member of the team, I know he will bring a calm, measured and enthusiastic approach.”

Richard added: “I am very much looking forward to working with the rest of the Hatch Brenner Family team in my new role. I have always specialised in family law matters and will continue to work with my clients to achieve a sensible and cost proportionate outcome to the difficulties they face. In addition, I look forward to working with the Hatch Brenner Management team in taking the firm forward.”

Richard completed his law degree in Southampton and his LPC at Nottingham Law School.
