I am a trainee solicitor, having commenced my two-year training contract with Hatch Brenner in September 2018. My training will involve working across the firm’s specialist departments on a six month rotation.
I am currently with the Private Client team for my third seat. I am looking forward to gaining experience in Wills, Powers of Attorney and other Private Client matters. I will also be leading our appointments for the 2019 Will Aid scheme.
My initial placement was with the Dispute Resolution department where I assisted across specialisms including Litigation, Personal Injury and Employment. My role involved working with the experienced lawyers in the team to help resolve disputes, investigate accidents and injuries and provide advice to employers and employees. My responsibilities included undertaking legal research of case law and statutory principles, obtaining and drafting witness statements and preparing bundles and instructions to Counsel.
Before starting at Hatch Brenner, I studied Law at Liverpool John Moore University gaining a 2:1 for Law LLB (Hons) and completing the Legal Practice Course. I will be undertaking my Professional Skills Course through BPP.
