I am a Solicitor and Mediator specialising in employment law and workplace mediation. I have considerable experience in providing advice and assistance to both employers and employees on a wide range of employment law matters including policy and contract drafting, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy, the bringing / defending of discrimination, unfair dismissal and other litigation.
I support businesses in carrying out complex workplace investigations, mediating in team and individual disputes, delivering bespoke training for Managers and HR practitioners, providing one to one coaching support for Managers and Leaders and carrying out Neutral Assessments.
With over 8 years’ experience as a mediator and helping to develop a successful mediation practice in the South West prior to relocating back to my home County of Norfolk, I am a keen exponent of the role of mediation in the workplace and I have achieved significant successes for clients who have engaged me down that route.
Outside of practising as a solicitor, I am also a visiting employment law lecturer for the University of Law, regularly teaching across their legal undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
I am an affiliate CIPD member, member of the Employment Lawyer’s Association and I sit on the Civil Mediation Council’s Employment & Workplace Committee where I am involved in the planning of as well as speaking at national events to promote and raise awareness of the use of alternative dispute resolution practices in the workplace.
