Will Writing Service
Writing a will is one of the most important duties you will ever perform.
A valid will allows you to make provision for your family, appoint executors to carry out your wishes and record specific wishes, including making gifts to friends, relatives and charities. Our will writing services in Norfolk help you get it right.
It’s important to note that if you do not make a will, your estate will be divided as the law dictates, which may not be in line with your wishes.
How we can help
Making a will with Hatch Brenner couldn’t be simpler. We will arrange an appointment for you to see one of our experienced will writing solicitors in Norwich so you can discuss your circumstances and requirements. Alternatively, complete our Will Questionnaire.
To get started, we will discuss the following with you:
- The appointment of executors and guardians
- Any gifts of specific items
- Leaving legacies to family members, friends or charity
- What is to happen to the balance of your estate
- Whether there is a need or benefit of including a trust arrangement
- Any tax consequences
- If anything can be done to safeguard the estate against the payment of care fees

What’s involved
Once we receive your instructions, we will prepare a draft will. You can consider and feedback on the document, before approving the final version. The process will be complete when the will has been properly signed. We offer a free storage service for all wills we have prepared.
Most wills are prepared on a fixed-fee basis so you know the costs involved at the outset. We can also arrange home visits for a small additional cost if you are unable to visit our Norwich office.
Will Questionnaire
Our Will Questionnaire provides a useful guide to the information we need to discuss before drafting your will.
Our Will Writing Expertise
Our solicitors have extensive experience writing wills for all requirements.
As full members of the Society for Estate Practitioners (“STEP”), we follow the STEP Will Code for the preparation of wills. For an explanation of what the Code means for clients, please click to view their useful STEP Will Code: Guide for the Public.
