What is 'Professional Negligence'?
‘Professional negligence’ is a breach of the duty of care between those supplying professional services, such as Solicitors, Accountants, Financial Advisors, Planning Consultants, Auditors and their clients. Duty of care is the common law arrangement where a client can expect certain standards and levels of professionalism.
If you have been a victim of poor or negligent advice received from a professional, you may be able to either make a complaint or take legal action against the individual or firm concerned.
