I am a Solicitor, and was admitted to the Senior Courts of England and Wales on 1 September 2017. I trained with Hatch Brenner, having joined the firm in 2015. My training involved working across the specialist departments on a six month rotation.
I have now accepted a permanent position in the Family Department. I assist the team with
all aspects of Public Family Law proceedings, divorce and family matters.
I have previously gained experience within the Residential Property department, assisting with all aspects of residential conveyancing work including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases. I have also worked in the Private Client department, assisting the team with all aspects of their Wills, Tax and Probate caseload. I led our contribution to the Will Aid campaign 2016, which included taking appointments, drafting wills and answering enquiries. We were thrilled to raise over £7,800 and become the top ten fundraising firm in the country!
Throughout my training contract, I also gained experience within the Dispute Resolution team across specialisms including Litigation, Personal Injury and Employment. My role involved working with the experienced lawyers in the team to help resolve disputes, investigate accidents and injuries and provide advice to employers and employees. My responsibilities included undertaking legal research of case law and statutory principles, obtaining and drafting witness statements and preparing bundles and instructions to Counsel.
Before starting at Hatch Brenner, I studied Law at Nottingham Trent University and completed the Legal Practice Course at Kaplan Law School. I carried out my Professional Skills Course through BPP.
